Welcome to Caudo Vineyard Wines! Family owned & operated vineyard, cellar door on the Murray River.

Caudo Vineyard is a proud family owned and operated vineyard and cellar door, situated on the bank of the mighty Murray River, in the Riverland region of South Australia. We are currently a thriving hot spot for locals and tourists, and notorious for our unique sangria.
Established in the late 1800’s, Caudo Vineyard was once a successful rose farm. We celebrate the history of the property by naming the wines after the varieties of roses that were grown there: Peace Chardonnay, Honor Shiraz, and Olympiad Merlot.
Current owners, Joe and Christine Caudo, purchased the property in 1986 as a waterski and river retreat for friends and family. The property consisted of approximately 1,200 acres of various terrains and crops including dry land farming, table grapes, stone fruit and citrus. 1992 was the beginning of the evolution of the property. This saw new plantings of multiple varieties of vines to create the 360 acre vineyard we have today. We now harvest 100% of the vineyard’s grapes to create quality, family produced wine.

Located in the Riverland, South Australia, the Caudo’s range of wines is produced from the fertile vineyards on the edge of the Murray River, Australia’s longest and largest river system. This river has given birth to a string of riverside towns, built on a foundation of agriculture and horticulture. The Riverland is vital area for Australia’s wine production and world wide reputation. This region is one that continuously contributes to our export success and world wide recognition for producing wines that are consistently at a high level of quality and most importantly affordable.
Over the years, the region has begun to evolve into tourism with its unique offering of food, wine, environment and river activities. The Riverland lifestyle, environment and community inspired the Caudo family to live here and open a cellar door on the scenic riverbank at Cadell.
